OF ADVANCE FUNDS FROM THE AMERICAN RED CROSS
(INSTRUCTIONS:- Sign both copies; return one to Miss Mary Beard, Director, Nursing
Service, National Headquarters, American Red Cross, Washington, D.C. ; retain the
other to submit for verification of advance in Hawaii.)
Having been duly appointed by the American Red Cross to serve with the emer-
gency civilian hospitals in the Hawaiian Islands, under the auspices of the Emer-
gency Medical and Hospital Service of the Territorial Office of Civilian Defense in
the Territory of Hawaii, I Suns here 6 Warren acknowledge the receipt of
$300
dollars from the American Red Cross which I understand
tó be a personal advance to cover my travel and maintenance expenses from my present
place of employment to Hawaii. It is further understood that the Territorial Office
of Civilian Defense has agreed to reimburse me for the above mentioned expenses and
I agree to liquidate this advance immediately upon the receipt of reimbursement from
the O.C.D., and will repay amount of check to the American Red Cross through
Mr. Allan ". Houghton
