AIR MAIL
Junuary 27, 1943
Miss Sunshine Elomnore Warren,
2754 Dakota Avenue,
Latonia, Kentucky.
e
My dear Miss Warren:
Now that some of your credentials have been returned, we are
in a position to definitely consider your application for civilian nurs-
ing service in Hawnil. Your appointment depends, of course, upon your
present physical fitness for foreign service. Therefore, I am referring
you to Dr. George Nelson Burger, 33 Fest 7th Street, Govington, Kentucky,
for this physical examination, We are also communicating with Dr. Burger,
advising him that you will report within a short time. Will you please,
therefore, take the responsibility of getting in touch with Dr. Berger
upon receipt of this letter, to make an appointment. Dr. Burger has boen
advised that the American Red Cross will assume whatever expense is in-
volved for the examination. Your teeth should be in good condition so
that you will not be in need of any immediate dental work.
As soon as the report of your physical examination has been
returned to this offico, we will advise you of the decision of our Red
Cross nedical examiner concerning your physical fitness for service.
Sincoroly yours,
(Mrs.) Ernestine B. Anick
Assistant to Director
EBA/hd
Nursing Service
