Roberts August 16, 1929. Mrs. Charles P. Weaver, Auburn, Alabama. My dear Mrs. Weaver: It is indeed a true saying that one must accept the bitter with the sweet so that while we send you our very best wishes for happiness and prosperity in your new life, we are condoling with ourselves that it is necessary for us to accept your resignation as Chairman of our Nashville, Tennessee Local Committee and as a member of our Tennessee State Committee on Red Cross Nursing Service which service has been so long and faithful. of course, we have no alternative and in accepting your resignation wish to extend to you our very heartiest thanks for this volunteer service which you have rendered the American Red Cross. Your residence in Auburn, Alabama necessitates the transfer of your enrollment record (#2 card) to our Montgomery, Alabama Local Committee which has jurisdéttion over your address. We have asked Mrs. Sparkman to send us your #2 card and as soon as it reaches us, your transfer will be effected end you will receive a formal advice of the same as soon as it is completed. We shall hope to keep in touch with you and are glad that you will always be in our files as one of our Red Cross nurses. Perhaps you may now be able to attend the meetings of the National Committee on Red Cross Nursing Service, of which you are still a member, for we shall undoubtedly need valuable advice concerning matters pertaining to the welfare of the Red Cross Nursing Service which your experience will undoubtedly enable you to give us. Very sincerely yours, Clara D. Noyes, Chairman, National Committee, Red Cross Nursing Service. IFB #2cd ann MR: SR request Com les A of incompanitis 3/16/29 to nus. in sparkson ) in Com. free
