July 25, 1942 Nrs. Maude C. Whyte 28 Chambers Street Princeton, New Jersey My dear Mrs. Whyte: As you have probably heard, the American Red Cross Harvard Field Hospital Unit is in the process of being transferred to the Army, and we are at the present time awaiting a cable confirming the exact date of transfer. In the meantime, salary checks for the nurses are being held temporarily. However, me expect to hear from England almost immediatly, at which time we shall be in a position to proceed with your däughter's financial account. Cordially yours, Virginia M. Dunbar Assistant Director Nursing Service 82311
