Extract from Miss Johnson's letter of July 28, 1922.
Miss Annie Williams
(Miss Annie Williams who has also been over for two years has bean
in, but I think she has had more social service than hospital work. Will
keep our eyes open for a likely person."
Extract from liss Butler's letter in reply to the above.
Il We also have looked up the record of Miss Annie Williams. I
am wondering if you know that she had rather an unfortunate experience while
with the Siberian Unit and the report of her conduct is not altogether satisfac-
tory, though we understand she is a splendid social service worker and also is
an exceptional woman. I imagine from the report that she is a woman who makes
quick decisions, and sometime's is not guarded in her critidisms of others, to
such an extent that she caused considerable trouble where she was. Aside from
that I do not find that she has had the necessary experience for the work in
Haiti."
when above was written it was not known that
