My dear Miss Beddow:
We are unable to exprees our embarrassment
upon receipt of your letter of May 26 enclosing the official
notification of the Special Enrollment of Miss Mary E.
Williams (colored). Just as indicated Mary E. Williams
was granted Special enrollment under date of April 11,
1927 and we are returning the copy of the letter of appoint-
ment herewith for your files.
It appears that in some unaccountable manner
part of the correspondence in this case became separated
from the nurse's appoication and credentials and got into
our pending enrollment file. The application was approved
for Special enrollment but our reminder of May 25 was sent
out in view of the correspondence in the pending enrollment
file.
The whole metter has been straightendd out now
and we thank you so much for your letter of May 26 which
enabled us to discover the error made in this office.
Regretting any inconvenience this matter has
caused you, I am
