My dear Miss Beard:
Although I appreciate the part which the Red Cross Nursing Service
plays in world events and would like to do what I can in time of
disaster, I do not feel that I would care at this time to enroll
for the foreign service. Just in the past week I have been accepted
by the Kellogg Foundation for a position with them and am quite
anxious to work with Miss Wales.
