Miss MacLachlan -2- April 11, 1943 2. Poor Health -- she fractured her cocoyx in an accident that was due to foolishness and was off duty for seven weeks. Now she has requested a leave of absence be- cause her nerves are unsteady. 3. Emotional Instability -- which has been continually apparent but recently assumed dangerous proportions when she announced her engagement to a Service Man who actually was trying to avoid her. This affair about which I have definite knowledge is now fini- shed since the individual in question has left the Island, but I feel that there may be a repetition in- volving someone else. Because of all these reasons Miss Wright has been a very disturbing and unpopular person in the nursing group, and Miss Annesser feels that she definitely should not be re- tained here. In this opinion Miss Wilcox and I concur. The second problem is with Miss Noonan who has been working in the Blood Bank. She has not been well ever since f December because of a peristent cystitis and vaginitis. In at addition to this she has been in an increasing state of mental and emotional tension with periods of talkativeness alternatively Name with periods of depression and weeping. Dr. Umaki, who has been takingacare of her, feels that she should not continue her work here, and I shall send you a report from him as soon as possible. Meanwhile we shall make further effort to work the situation extracted out, if possible. 4/27-59 I am sorry to have so ill a report to make to you. Altho' the letter is being marked personal you can use your own judgment in filing it. Sincerely yours, /sg/ Delphine Wilde Delphine Wilde DW: mm cc: Miss Wilcox
