AUTHORIZATION FOR AWARDS
Central Committee, September 18, 1944
The general authorization of awards for World War II service
was given by the following votes of the Central Committee at its meet-
ing of September 18, 1944:
That special medals or awards not be issued in
recognition of special servi œ in the present war.
That the Central Committee hereby authorizes the
Committee on Insignia, Uniforms, and Awards to
design and select suitable certificates and in-
signia to be issued in recognition of service
rendered to the Red Cross during this war, includ-
ing the personnel of the National Organization and
the Chapters, and the citizens of foreign countries
who have served in American Red Cross operations
abroad; and to recommend to the Central Committee
the rules and regulations for the issuance of such
certificates and insignia.
