    "ocrText": "Opinions of Department Heads\nHelon Scott Hay, Director, Nursing Service, Europe approved by A.C.Burnham, Medical\nDirector, / PC Europe, recommending that service certificate be granted:\n\"Miss Von Kurowsky served with the American Red Cross in Europe from March 1920 to\nNovember 1921, serving with the Commission to Roumania till October 1920, as per attached\nreport from the Chief Nurse. From January 1921 to November, Miss Von Kurowsky was as-\nsigned to service with the Junior Red Cross in Roumenia, and rendered very satisfactory\nservice. Below I quote from letter received from Mrs. Moran, Bucharest, in regard\nto\nMiss Von Kurowsky's service with the T.R.C.\nShe is an unusually earnest, conscien-\ntious worker; lovable to an extraordinary degree, and generous almost to a fault of time\nand effort. , I heartily recommend her as entitled to a certificate of merit for\nfaithful and efficient services.\"\n(December 13, 1921)\nLillian Spelian, Chief Nurse to Roumania:\nwhiss Von Kurowsky has done very good Baby Welfare work during her four months of service\nin Roumania. ller ability to acquire a now language quickly makes her especially valuable\nfor foreign service. She speaks French, Italian, Roumanian and a little German. she\npossesses an exceptionally fine disposition. Very bright and cheerful. she is a pe-\ntient teacher. der health, on the whole, has been good. she would fit into ARC service\nanywhere. Her attitude and spirit has at all times been splendid.\"\n(September 4. 1920)\nContinued. when necessary, on card 2."
