    "ocrText": "209\nSTATES OF meaning\nP\nUNUM\nSTATE Houth\nAt a Court of Common Pleas holden at bitchfile n within and for Minchester the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the Birst A Monday of September\nto\nA. D. 1848\nsaid Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law jurisdiction, and a Clerk\nPRESENT, and Seal. HON\nJ JUDGE.\nThe following named persons, each for himself, on the day and date set against name appeared open\nhis in Court and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And each for himself, then\nexhibited to said Court a certificate of the declaration of intentions made by him before the authority, and at the time hereinafter set against his name, as on file, and required as the first condition, according the to satisfac- the first\nsection of the Act of entitled \" An act to establish an uniform rule of and to repeal on\nCongress, Naturalization, the Act heretofore passed that subject,\" approved 14th of April, 1802. And it appearing to\ntion of the Court that said applicant has resided within the years past,\nUnited States five at least, last and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, last past, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man\nof good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution States,\nof the United and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said applicant having declared on oath that he\nwould support renounce\nthe Constitution of the United States, and that he did absolutely and entirely all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly admitted to the\nPrince, State, Sovereignty and Government his of which he before subject.
