    "ocrText": "237\nSTATES OF\nI\nP\nLIPLURIBUS\nSTATE\nAt a Court of Common Pleas holden at.\nMinchester\nwithin and the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, the First Monday of Seftember\nfor on\nA. D. 188.9\nsaid Court being a Court of Record, having Comimon Law jurisdiction, and a Clerk and\nPRESENT, Seal. HON Albertol Roraback\nJUDGE.\nThe following named persons, each for himself, on the day and date set against his name appeared in open Court and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And each for himself, then and\nthere declared, on oath, that it was, and for more than three years next previous to said date, had been his bona fide intention to become a citizen of the United States, and absolutely and entirely to renounce for-\never all allegiance to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereign whatever, and particularly to the Prince, Potentate, State, Sovereignty and Government set against his name, of which he was before a subject.\nAnd it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that said applicant has resided within the United States five years at least, and three years next previous to his arriving at the age of twenty-one years, which happened\non the day and year set against his name, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said fivo years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution\nof the United State, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said applicant having declared on oath that he would support the Constitution of the United States, and that he did\nabsolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the Prince, Potentate, State, Sovereignty and Government\nset as aforesaid against his name, of which he was before a subject.
