To the Honorable Super Court, Now IN SESSION AT LITCHFIELD, WITHIN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF LITCHFIELD : The Petition of Celenge Howe of Wamshuter in said County, humbly showeth, that he is a foreigner, a subject of bultina Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland : that on the 9 day of March 18y2 before the Sancs Repear bunt he declared his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever, all allegiance and and fidelity to every foreign Prince. Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever-and particularly to bulnes Lune of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject ; that he has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years, he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and welfare of the same. And Praying this Court, upon finding the facts hereinbefore alleged to be true, to admit him to become a Citizen of the United States, agreeably to the provisions of the Acts of Congress in such case made and provided. And your Petitioner, as in duty bound, will ever pray. Dated at Litchfield, this 16th day of which A. D. 1894 George Houe
