To the Honorable Superson Court, Now IN SESSION AT LITCHFIELD, WITHIN AND FOR THE COUNTY ÓF LITCHELELD The in said County, humbly showeth, that he is /a foreigner, a subject of Petition of John Sudgets of Machinglas Victoria Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland : that on the 22 R day of Manchiso before declared the his superior intention to become learnt citizen forsair County he a of the United States, and to renounce forever, all allegiance and and fidelity to every foreign Prince. Potentate State and whatever-and particularly to chrolona Sovereignty guen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject ; that he has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years, he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and welfare of the same. And Praying this Court, upon finding the facts hereinbefore alleged to be true, to admit him to become a Citizen of the United States, agreeably to the provisions of the Acts of Congress in such case made and provided.
