The Petition of Dumi mahonay
of
Ceapon
in said County humbly showeth, that he is a forcigner, a subject
of victoria
Queen
of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland :
That before the
hehenior
Court for Laire leounty
on the day of
8th Leftentin 1BR he declared
his in-
t'ention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever, all allegiance and fidelity to every for-
eign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovercignty whatever--and particularly to Mictoria
Queen
of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject ;
that he has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least,
and that during said five years, he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of th e
Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and welfare of the same.
And praying this Court, upon finding the facts hereinbefore alleged to be true, to admit him to become a Cit-
izen of the United States, agreeably to the provisions of the Acts of Congress in such case made and provided.
And your Petitioner, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
