Now IN SESSION AT LITCHFIELD, WITHIN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF LITCHFIELD :
The Petition
of Thomas Comes
of Wovelbuy
in said County, humbly showeth, that he is a foreigner, a subject of
bechnel Jun
of the United : was
Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland that he born in Jhelonel
; that he came to the United States, in the year 51 and
was then of the age of 20
years, and that he is of the age of 4/3
now
years,
that he desires to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever, all allegiance and fideli-
ty to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever-and particularly to
becrice June
of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject: that he has resid-
ed within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that
during said five years, he has behaved as a man of grood moral character, attached to the principles of the
Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and welfare of the same.
And Praying this Court, upon finding the facts hereinbefore alleged to be true, to admit him to
become a Citizen of the United States, agreeably to the provisions of the Acts of Congress in such case
made and provided.
And your Petitioner, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
