Decire b. Sunfard Indiver\nthe it Remembered, That on the /\nday of much\nin the\nof Ner/hh\nyear of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and /ifty seem michael mmmphy\nin said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person,\nappeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and\na Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said\nmurphy\nthen exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention\nmade\nby him before the bluh of the Country\nin for Duice Camily\nand required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled \"An Act to\nestablish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject.\"\nApproved 14th of April, 1802, as follows:\nSTATE OF CONNECTICUT,\nCOUNTY OF Licetipiar! ss.\nthe it Bemembered, That on the\n14th\nday\nmolod\nof Aumber\nA. D. 1854 before the\nbies\nbluh of the County Court, within and for\nsaid County,\nthe\na\nhaving Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per-\nL.S.\nsonally appeared,\nmichael murphy\nof An/th\nin said\nCounty, who was born in Inlund\naged about Thirty years, and on oath did declare that\nit was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE\nUNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten-\ntate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to\nNieteria green\nof the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where-\nof,\nI, Helmay 03 securs\nClerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nTo level bes\nHemay B Grans\nClerk.\nAnd it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said murphy has\nresided\nwithin the United States five years at least,\nla nidziw\nis\ntad and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years\nhe has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the\ne\nUnited States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. bos\nAnd the said murphy\nhaving declared on oath, that he would support\nthe CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce\nand abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and\nparticularly to Nictina Queen\nof the United Kingdom of\nGreat Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject.
