Butter judge the it Remembered, That on the thend day of march in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and /ifty eig John and Math free of Winethstre in said County of Litehfield, being an alien a white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be then admitted exhibited to become to the Court a citizen a Certificate of the United of the declaration States. And of the said made by him before the blut of the Cermunity conut intric Nall intention dwice County and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Lilelfine ss. the it Remembered, That on the 29th day of Ammen A. D. 1854 before the blue of the Ceunty Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdietion, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L. S. John Null of Winchester in said County, who was born in the Kingelem of Wichinling aged about lifty years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Indervel William third King of the Greman Slints of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Iroland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Menry 53 frans Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. Nex sill to Lasel bux Henry 53 Graces Clerk. And it to appearing the satisfaction of the Court, that said Mathew has resided within the United States five years at least, odd and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. bas bateral And the said Nalti having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Enderich William 3: thing of Wirten to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Iroland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that John Matter be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
