Sunfare Jully year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and lifty mine John bahalam the it Remembered, That on the thind day of Felenary in the of Housinton in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdietion, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Cahalun then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before the Superven lecent in and 11. the Ceurly of Litchperal and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows bevonggA STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Litelfined ss. the it That on the 22 day of September A. D. 185 I before the Superier Court, within and for said County, and having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, John Cahalum of in said aged about 35 County, who was born in Sippency 60. Inlund that "years, and on oath did declare it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victina gevero of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Fud. Le. Buman Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. to land And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Cabalen has resided within the United States five years at least, Jenol la ovil ndi midtivi avil and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And laubalum the said having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Vielena Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject.
