127 to At a Sup Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connécticut, on the 4th Tuesday of I in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and lifty mm PRESENT-HON David 6. Sumperle tudy the it Remembered, That on the third of February day in the year of Nouth of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and /ifty nm James Hubery Cancern in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Lubcy then exhibited to the Court Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before the blut of the County benefit in and In the Genery of Liletfiew and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Steppines ss. the it Remembered, That on the 25th day of Dream our A. D. 185 4 before the blue of the Genery Court, within and for said County, don't having Common Law jurisdietion, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, Sames Lubey of in said County, who was born in deland aged about 34 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victeric Seven of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, hand, I, and Henry Seal of the said B. Court, the Grans day and year Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my aforesaid. 16 was bitt Muny B. Graws Clerk. And it the appearing United to States the satisfaction five years at of least, the Court, that said Labuy has resided within and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. the And the said Labery having declared on oath, that he would support CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to vietma Quan of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject.
