And the said Economed made by him before Itu blue of the beavly bund in Hickey then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention and In Licetifical County and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled An Actto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF ss. the it Remembered, That on the 17th day of Im A. D. 185 3, before the blul of the County Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L.S. Ectovanoo Hickey of leanning in said County, who was born in Tipperary Co. Insured aged about 29 years, and/on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poteli- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victina Lucen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Fard Le. Buman Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. Fud rich Lo. Buman Clerk. within And it the appearing United to States the satisfaction five years of least, the Court, that said Hickoy alli has resided at millio and in the State of Connectient one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Hicking having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prinee, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victeric Zum of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject.
