    "ocrText": "161\nAt a Superin Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of\nhundred and sight\nConnecticut, on the form be Tuesday of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight\nPRESENT-HON Incl Human fur\nthe it Remembered, That on the third\nyear of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and lawer Robert\nday of Febring\nin the\nof\nJorring time\nin said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person,\nappeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and\na Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said\nJames Robertion then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention\nmade by him before\nthe club (such supper count\nand required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled \"An Act to\nestablish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject.\"\nApproved 14th of April, 1802, as follows:\nSTATE OF CONNECTICUT,\nCOUNTY OF Set apied\nss.\nthe it Rememberrò, That on the truth\nday\nof april\nA. D. 185 7. before the\nClerk y the Superior Court, within and for said County,\nhaving Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per-\nL.S.\nsonally appeared,\nJames Robutiun\nof Jorning\nin said\nCounty, who was born in Kincup delandy\naged about\n49\nyears, and on oath did declare that\nit was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE\nUNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten-\ntate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to\nVictoria Queen\nof the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where-\nof, I,\ntuck Deea\nClerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nsill\nto\nredevich D.Beeman\nClerk.\nAnd it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said James Robertian has resided\nwithin the United States five years at least,\n11 908 201618 biding edi\nDims and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years\nhe has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the\nUnited States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nAnd the said Janer Robertsar having declared on oath, that he would support\nthe CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce\nand abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and\nparticularly to\nVactoria\nLuce\nof the United Kingdom of\nGreat Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court,\nthat said Janeas Robertro\nbe, and he was accordingly admitted\nto become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES."
