John D.Park the the it Remembered, That on the 17th day of april in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sight Gence Lauton on, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and of Woodbury in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person, ind aid a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said ion Geo Lauthur then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before obem the clear the Superin cauh fasous (cump to and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled " "An Act to ct." establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows : STATE OF CONNECTICUT, ss. COUNTY OF day the it Remembered, That on the 18 day the of africal A. And the said Geo. fanta having declared on oath, that he would support upport the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to victoria tween of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject.
