in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person,
appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and
a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said
Alexander Grossion of the declaration of intention
then exhibited to the Court a Certificate
made by him before the blerk. of the superior Countfor said encouring
and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actfo
establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject."
Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows :
