At a Superior Litchfield, for County of Litchfield, 181 Court, holden at in and the in the State of Connecticut, on the 20 hundred and sifty Tuesday of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight PRESENT-HON. Eriginal Seymour judge the it Remembered, That on the 220 day of October in the of Woodbury year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty William hewey to in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a Aree white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States, And the said William Aera then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before they Supervisor bourt for ditchfuls country and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: of acts pafed m addition the reto. a follows, STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Litobfille } ss. the it Rememberro, That on the of October 19 day A. D. 1858 before the Superior Court, within and for said County, cloud having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L.S. William hewey of Woodbury in said County, who was born in Birmingham England aged about 58 years, and on oath did déclare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prinee, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Lucen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Friderick DBuman Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. To Frederick D Beeman - Clerk. within the United States five years at least, And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said William heavy has resided evil midtivi and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said William beury having declared on oath, that he would support. the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Nictoria seen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject.
