UNITED STATES, and to renounce was forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten-
tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria been
of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where-

Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my
hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid.

And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said michael Spain has
resided
within the United States five years at least,

he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of

United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Hour

the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and
