206 At a auserver Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 14 Tuesday of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty four hate PRESENT-HON. Neights Gormic judge - the it Rememberrà, That on 1" day of November in the year que Lord one thgusand eight appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and of Plymouth of the hundred in said County and sixty of Litchfield, four being Hilliam an alien and a free Nulme white person, & Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said William Hulme then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before the lolerkefthe Superior Coustfordant Coming and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: the ads tc passed in addition thereto, as follows, STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Setelfield ss. the it That on the 32-60 day blesk of the Superior Court, within and for said October A. D. 1800, before the County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L. S. Hilliam Hulme of who plymonth was 31, born in Deslyshin years, and Cu. oath England did declare that in said County, aged about on it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poteli- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Dueen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Hilliam S. Ransorw Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and aforesaid. hice to line bas William S. Resion year Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said William Hulme has resided within the United States five years at least, batiali nill nidtio and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. llaw bas batiall And the said Velliam Haelme having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Queen of the United Kingdom of that Milliam Hulme Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject.
