At a Superior Court, holden Litchfield, in for County of Litchfield, 235 at and the in the State of Connecticut, on the 2 Tuesday of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty light, PRESENT-HON. judge the it Remembered, That on the 16 day of September ,in the year of our Lord one of etcless thousand eight hundred and sixty light. Christopher Caffrey in said County of Kitehfield, being an alien and a free white "person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and is Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a eitizen of the United States. And the said Cohnstopher made by him before Coaffrey then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention the Superior bourt. for said booksity and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled -An Actito establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the aets heretofore passed that subject.") D. 1806, before the bl day Superior Court, within and for said County, list a having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, of County, Salistary who was boru in Hildare los. Irreland in Cohnistopher laffrey said aged about 350 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria / Queen of the United Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, MBS. Kingdom of Great Kanson Britain and Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and aforesaig his year Pansom loved desto Clerk. And to it appearing the satisfaction of the Court, that said Cohnistopher Coffer yhas ond resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connectieut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and welk disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. the and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce CONSTITUTION And the said/ OF the UNITED STATES, having declared on oath, that he would support. and abjure all allegianee and fidelity to any foreigo Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to, Victoria Tiun of the United Kingdom of to that become Christopher Citizen UNITED loaffrey STATES.
