240 At Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 2. Tuesday of 1 September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty light, PRESENT-HON Hns. Meinor judge the it Remembered, That on the 16 day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty light. Johnileahill de TROY of Salisbury in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court and John a Clerk and Seal,) and to be admitted to become a the said bahill applied of Record, citizen Certificate having of the Common United of the declaration States. Law Jurisdiction, And of then exhibited to the Court a intention made by him before the Superior Countfor county, and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actito establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: passed therefor, as follows, STATE OF CONNEGTIQUT, COUNTY OF Detelfille ss. the it That on the 12 2 of Superior September A. D. 1 soo, before the 66. day Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L.S. of loriwall Mreland in said aged about 23- years, and on oath did declare that County, who was born_in it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria of the United of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject.
