    "ocrText": "244\nAt a Superior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of\nConnecticut, on the\n20 Tuesday of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight\nhundred and Judge\nthe it Remembertà, That\nthe\n16\"\nday of September\non\nin the\nyear of our Lord one thousand eight hundred in and sixty light Michael alien and Meoran free white\nof\nappeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and\nMarine\nsaid County of Latchfigld, being an a person,\nMechail & Clerk and Moran then exhibited of the declaration of intention\nSeal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said\nto the Court a Certificate\nmade by him before the Superior bourt for aid bounty-\nand required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled \"An Actito\nestablish uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject.\"\nApproved an 14th of April, 1802, - follows: facts dubrequently passed therefor,\nas in follows,\nSTATE OF CONNECTICUT,\nCOUNTY OF Secchfuld ss.\nthe it Remembered That on the\n14\nSeptember\n1966\nday\nof Superior\nA. D. before the\n-\nCourt, within and for said County,\nhaving Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per-\nsonally\nL. S.\nappeared, Michael Moran\nof Sharon\nCounty, who was born in Roscomon los. in said\nIreland\naged about\n45- years, and on oath did declare that\nit was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF\nTHE\nUNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten-\ntate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to\nVictoria Queen\nof the\nof, I,\nUnited Kingdom, N of Great Britaly Ransom and Ireland, of whom he Clerk is now of said a subject. Court, have In Testimony hereunto Where- set\nmy\nhand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nhing Ransom\ntwo\nClerk.\nAnd it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Michael doran has\nresided\nwithin the United States five years at least,\navil\nedi\nand in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years\nhe has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the\nUnited States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nAnd the said Meichael Moran\nbas\nhaving declared on oath, that he would support\nthe CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce\nand abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any Gareign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and\nparticularly to\nVictoria quen\nof the United Kingdom of\nGreat Britain and of whorty he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court,\nthat\nMoran\nbe, and he was accordingly admitted\nto become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES."
