244 At a Superior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 20 Tuesday of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Judge the it Remembertà, That the 16" day of September on in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred in and sixty light Michael alien and Meoran free white of appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and Marine said County of Latchfigld, being an a person, Mechail & Clerk and Moran then exhibited of the declaration of intention Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said to the Court a Certificate made by him before the Superior bourt for aid bounty- and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actito establish uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved an 14th of April, 1802, - follows: facts dubrequently passed therefor, as in follows, STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Secchfuld ss. the it Remembered That on the 14 September 1966 day of Superior A. D. before the - Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally L. S. appeared, Michael Moran of Sharon County, who was born in Roscomon los. in said Ireland aged about 45- years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Queen of the of, I, United Kingdom, N of Great Britaly Ransom and Ireland, of whom he Clerk is now of said a subject. Court, have In Testimony hereunto Where- set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. hing Ransom two Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Michael doran has resided within the United States five years at least, avil edi and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Meichael Moran bas having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any Gareign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria quen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and of whorty he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that Moran be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
