George and Plience free 177 day of September in the in said of Litehfield, being an alien a white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said george made Pierce then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention by him before the Superiorlorus forsaid hearity, and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." follows, Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows : tacts subsequently passed therefor. as STATE CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF OF Setchfied } ss. the it That on the 172 61 day of april A. D. 1806, before the Superior Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L. S. sonally appeared, George Phire of Winchister County, who was born in Creland- in said aged about it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE 47 years, and on oath did declare that UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Turn of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, yrs Kanson Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day year and class afgresaid Ransom with Clerk. une within years And it the appearing United to States the satisfaction five at of least, the Court, that said George Briene has resided and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said George Peircu STATES, having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF TIE UNITED and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegrange and fidelity to ayy foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereiguty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Quein of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject.
