And the said - then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before Thu Superior beurtfor said County and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." follows Approved 14th of April, 1802, AS follows: facts subsequently passed thinfor as STATE OF CORNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Stehfuld } ss. the it Remembered, That on/the 18th 1866 day of Superior april - Court, within A. and D. for said before County, the having Conmon Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally L. S. appeared, Thomas Me-hamirara - of Dorrington in - Ireland said County, who was born aged about 36 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Queen of the United Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Kingdom of Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. Mass Reuson- 10 live Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said has resided within the United States five years at least, entine and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and wen disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. batial And the said Thomas Micamara having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any fgreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria quien of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and of whom the was before a subject.
