in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person,
appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and
a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said
William Kereough then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention
made by him before

tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to

And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said William Kannaugh has resided
within the United States five years at least,
and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years
he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the
United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
