290 At a Supers Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 4 Tuesday of Juney in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and difty nine has PRESENT-HON. c like T. Granger judge the it Remembered, That on 25 day of March in the of our Lord one thousand eight hundred the and detty nuil Serious whele year of Winchester in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before Me m wordunff Annt Cleck of the Stepen Count for diterfed County and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF becomfed | ss. the it Rememberrd, That on the 26 day of March A. D. 18by, before the cluper Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L. S. Semon while of Were hectu in said County, who was born in Inclund aged about 31 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to butne Twen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Gro m movineft ant Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. nith to Gree m norlenff aut Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Gennon Whuler has resided within the United States five years at least, mill and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Serious Whuler having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to betarn green of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that Serious H hule be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
