296 At a Lupur Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 4 Tuesday of Juning in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and defitty nume PRESENT-HON lilie J.Granger Juliage the it Rememberrò, That on the 25 day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty mine geremait Carroll of winehuter in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdietion, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Jeremias carroll then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before Isco m noodureff that Clurk of the Super Count fu disesfeed county and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Aetto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Letchfuld ss. Be it Remembered, That on the 23 day of March A. D. 186 before the Superior Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L. S. Jeremich banall of constructer Inland in said County, who was born in aged about 40 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to becorio Zusen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, 4100 m woodrupt Aset Clerk of said Court, have heremnto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. The Tone Geo m noohulf Act Clerk. And it appearing the satisfaction of the Court, that said generioh Carroll has resided to within the United States five years at least, in mil and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. and Brattion And the said Jeremait Carroll having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to bultore June of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject.
