300 At a Inpurr Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 4 Tuesday of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sufty nine PRESENT-HON. the T. Grunger Indye the it Rememberrò, That on the 25 day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and dutty nine Daniel Easlanger of Winchetto in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a eitizen of the United States. And the said Daniel Eulinger then exhibited to the Courtia Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before Geo m modwiff but Cluk of the Super Crust for beenfeen County and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: to STATE OF CONNECTICUT, ss. COUNTY OF the it Remembered, That on the 23 day of leach A. D. 186 before the Superior Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, Daniel Englinger of universite in said County, who was born in Here Davinstant aged about 53 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Prime Ludowick ofthe United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, yes monuff Aut Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. bill mill 10 levelt Ges m noodupt Ant Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Damil Eulingin has resided within the United States five years at least, adt and in the State of Connectieut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. kil bris batio 1100 And the said Dannel Enlingin having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Puner Ludovik of the United Kingdom of Groat Britain and Iroland, of whom he was before a subject.
