appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and
a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a eitizen of the United States. And the said
Thomas a Celliott then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention
made by him before the blerk ofthe Superior bount for said County.
and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Aetto
establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject."

And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Thomas a Elliott has

within the United States five years at least,
