381 Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 4 D Tuesday of in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy one bes PRESENT-HON Onigno S. Be it Remembered, That on the 25 day of Me anto in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy one Dennis of in said County of Lifchfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a eitizen of the United States. And the said Donnis Coibinnell then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before the busst and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subjeet." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, } ss. County OF the it Remembered, That on the 23. day of Mani A. D. 187 before the bins Court, within and for faid County, Jasa, - having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, Dennis Colonnill of Hinchustic in said County, who was born in Inland aged about 25 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and partionlarly to Victina Deview the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the and year aforesaid. Joned M Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said ) Dennis le leonsull has resided within the United States five years at least, 111 avil besinil and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Denness Cobonmu having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereiguty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Deum of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that air Dennis la bonmel be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
