382 At superies Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the h Tuesday of January year eight in the of our Lord one thousand hundred and surenty in PRESENT-Ho: Judy the it Remembered, That on the 25 day of M unto in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and blantes of tecmmore in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared iu open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said a then exhibited Certificate of the declaration of to the Court a intention made by him before this burst and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows STATE OF CONNECTICUT, ss. COUNTY OF the it Remembered, That on the 2ds day of September A. D. 1858, before the Superna Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally appeared, L.S. Charlo Scoloman of Commull in said aged about County, who was born in years, and/ on it was bona fide bis intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE 27 oath did declare that UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and partieularly to Louis Grend Duthelf German states ofthe United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Millian Spinom Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. have lo /m.d. Canson Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said has resided within the United States five years at least, DV# and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. llow bas poyge And the said Charlia Lestman having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and V and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, particularly to Louis Grand Dut of Summar states of the United Great Britain and Ireland of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that & said Chuslos sustman be, and he was accordingly admitted of to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES. 10
