Origin fuelge\nthe it\nThat on the\n27th\nday of March\nin the\nyear of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Leventy one orhomas Bullen\nof Tringlin\nin said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person,\nappeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and\na\nClerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said\nThomas Butter\nthen exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention\nmade by him before\nthe Luferior bount for said County\nand required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled *An Act to\nestablish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject.\"\nApproved 14th of April, 1802, as follows:\nSTATE OF CONNECTIÇUT,\nCOUNTY OF Litchfied\nss.\nthe it That on the\n31st\nday\nof Janyardin\nA. D. 1868, before the\nCourt, within and for said County,\nhaving Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per-\nL.S.\nsonally appeared, or homas Buller\nof Toringlog\nin said\nCounty,\nwho was born in Tiferany b. Ireland\naged about\n54\nyears, and on oath did declare that\nit was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE\nUNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten-\ntate,\nState and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victorie knew\nof the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where-\nof,\nI, hm Ranson\nClerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nbies mil) to bos\nhim L. Ranson\nClerk.\nAnd of the that said Butter\nit appearing to the satisfaction Court,\nguitos\nhas resided\nwithin the United States five years at least,\nand in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years\nhe has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the\nUnited States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nAnd the said\nButter\nhaving declared on oath, that he would support\nthe CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce\nand abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and\nparticularly to Victoria Luner\nof the United Kingdom of\nGreat Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court,\nthat and Thomas B Bultur\nbe, and he was accordingly admitted\nto become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.\n10"
