407 At a Suferior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 4th hundred one and eventy Tuesday January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight PRESENT-HON. Origin fuelge the it That on the 27th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Leventy one orhomas Bullen of Tringlin in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Thomas Butter then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before the Luferior bount for said County and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled *An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTIÇUT, COUNTY OF Litchfied ss. the it That on the 31st day of Janyardin A. D. 1868, before the Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, or homas Buller of Toringlog in said County, who was born in Tiferany b. Ireland aged about 54 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victorie knew of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. And of the that said Butter it appearing to the satisfaction Court, guitos has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Butter having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Luner of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that and Thomas B Bultur be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES. 10
