417 (o At a Superior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the Tuesday of in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy two han PRESENT-HON Origa the it Remembered, That on the 16 day of march in the year of (our Lord one thousand eight hundred and semestity two Patnek mumphy of Manchute bita in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Patrick Me play then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before but. Cluk 1th- Rupenor bount for Childhfuld County and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actio establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF LiTchful } ss. the it Remembered, That on the 23 day (T.A of March A. D. 184 before the Gio he woodsett Out clut of the depe Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdietion, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, latench murphy of in said County, who was born in Keony co Ineland aged about 22 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prinee, Poten- tate, gues State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Hellown of Rausone Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Patruck mumphy has resided within the United States five years at least, batinO adi miduiw svil bime and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. batia0 And the said Patrick murph having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victona Gueen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject.
