At a Eupenion Litchfield, for the County of Litchfield, in the 419 Court, holden at in and State of Connecticut, on the It hundred and seventy two Tuesday of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight PRESENT-HON Ongen S. Seymour Judge the it Remembered, That on the 16 day of march in the of Hindeuter year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy urv. John mers 109V in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said John her then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before the blek of the Superior beautfor Faid beuety and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF deterfuld } ss. the it Bemembered, That on the 24 of March day ber A. D. 1869, before the bias nol blekkop the See penor Court, within and for said County, Jane having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, John MErz of Ninehute in said County, who was born in Geruary aged about 25 years, and oh oath did-declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to the King of the United Kingdom, et Cleant Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Hilliam do Ranson Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. sill bies sill to less Hillions t.Kauron Clerk. How bes , belinO 100 And the said John men having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the Kung Nurtumbing of the United Kingdom-of Great-Britain and Iroland, of whom he was before a subject.
