At a Superioration holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of
Connecticut, on the 4th Tyesday of in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and Seventy three
PRESENT-HON.
Origin
Be it Rememberrd, That on the
22nd March
day of
in the
year of our kord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy three Charles Rossi
of Sharon
in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person,
appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and
a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said
Chharles Rossi then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of
intention
made by him before
the Superior Court for said County
and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to
establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject."
Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows:

UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poteni-
tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to
Victor Emanuel II King of Staly
of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where-

I, Wm L. Ransom
Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my
hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid.

satisfaction of the Charles Rossi has resided
within the United States five years at least,

he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the
United States, and well disposed to the good grder and happiness of the same.

the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce
and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, state or Sovereignty whatever, and

Great Britajo a Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court,
that Charles Rosse
