At a Superior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of 465 Connecticut, ort hundred and Seventy they the 4th Tuesday of formally in the year of our Lord one thousand eight PRESENT-Hon. Origin Stephany prdge the it Remembered, That on the 22nd day of March in the of year Hirehester of our, Lord one thousand eight hundred and Severity chree Thomas Abson in said County of Litehfeld, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and Thomas Abson Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before the delenke Superior and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Sitelfield ; ss. the it That on the 16th of , March day blenk of the Superipourt, within and for said County, A. D. before the - Juse S having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally of Winehester in said County, who was born in aged about 49 England years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide. intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria have of, I, Uniter L Ransom Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. Mm Lanson lo bind Clerk. bas And it appearing to the satisfaction the Court, that of said Thomastation has resided within the United States five years at least, ovil estate mill avil bins and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Jroge And the said Thomas Alson having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any fgreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Green of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom-he was before a subject, It was therefore considered by the Court, that Thomas Alson be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES. enti lo noxilio o)
