    "ocrText": "466\nhundred\nConnecticut, and on Seventy PRESENT-HON the 4th three Tugsday Origin of January 68, in Seymons fudge the year of our one eight\nAt a Superior Cours, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, Lord in thousand the State of\nthe it\n22nd\nday of\nMarch\nyear of our Lord one thousand That eight on hundred and Seventy three CharlesHatey\nthe\nin the\nof Ninehester in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person\nappeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and\na Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said\nCharles before Haley then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention\nmade by him\nComity blerk of the\nand required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled \"An Act to\nestablish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject.\"\nApproved 14th of April, 1802, as follows:\nSTATE OF CONNECTICUT,\nCOUNTY OF ss.\n16th\nthe of it March Reyembered, That on the\nday\nA. D. 1987, before the\nblerk Court, within and for said County,\nhaving (Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per-\nsonally\nL.S.\nof Mirchester in dreland in\nappeared, Charles Haley\nsaid\nCounty, who was born\naged about 27\nyears, and on oath did declare that\nit was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE\nUNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten-\ntate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to\nVictoria Inven\nof the Undied Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where-\nof,\nI, Mm L.Ranson\nClerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand, and Seal of the said Court, the and\ntasit\nhas\nJoned\nMore day S Ransom to\nClerk.\nAnd to\nit appearing the satisfaction of the Court, that said Charles Haley has sill resided\nwithin the United States five years at least,\nand in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years\nhe has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the\nUnited States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nHew\nhas\nAnd the said Charles Haley having oath, would support\ndeclared on that he\nthe CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce\nand abjure all allegiance and fidelity to anw foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and\nparticularly to Victotia green\nof the United Kingdom of\nGreat Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court,\nthat Charles Haley\nbe, and he was accordingly admitted\nof\nto become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES."
