Ata Superior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State 25 of Connecticut, on the 2 Tuesday of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty Six PRESENT-HON John D Park judge the it Remembered, That on the 23 day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight of Jorrington hundred and fifty Six Richard Burny in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, a Seal,) applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Clerk and and and Burny then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before they Court, and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled .. An Actio establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Litchfield } ss. the it Remembered, That on the 19th day of August A. D. 1853, before the Superior Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L. S. sonally appeared, Richard Burns of Torrington in said County, who was born in Limenick bo buland aged about 34 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Green of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Treak D. Beenan Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. Fredenick D. Beeman Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Burny has resided within the United States five years at least, milt aidtivi and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Burney having declared on oath, that he would support port the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce nee and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and ind particularly to bictoria Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that PRichard Burnes be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
