the it Remembered, That on the 23
day of September
in the

Lord
one
thousand
eight
of Jorrington
hundred and fifty Six Richard Burny
in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person,
appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction,
a Seal,) applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said
Clerk and and and
Burny
then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention
made by him before they Court,
and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled .. An Actio
establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject."
Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows:

County, who was born in Limenick bo buland
aged about 34
years, and on oath did declare that
it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE
UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten-
tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria
Green
of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where-
of, I, Treak D. Beenan
Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my
hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid.

And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said

has resided
within the United States five years at least,

he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the

United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.

the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce

and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and
