480 At a of Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, hundred and on devents the 4th, Tuesday of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Imm eight PRESENT-HON. mines Granger Gudge the it Remembered, That on the disteenth day of march in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and revents four John Dooking 1000 of AirchCaman in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said grem Dorey then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before the but of this count and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF bettyfulls ss. Be it Remembered, That on the 11th day of April A. D. 186 before the having the Safara jurisdiction, Court, with within Clerk and and for said Seal, County, count: Common Law a a per- L. S. sonally appeared, John Drivey of Ceanarn in said County, who was born in Kicking as Ireland aged about 45 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever and particularly to Victoria queen of the United Kingdom) of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Why Ramon Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. bo lose Bens Will & Ranson Clerk. within And it the appearing United to States the satisfaction five years of least, the Court, that said Jriu Dorley has resided midriw at and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. protests And the said Jhhn Dorlas having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Bunn of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject.
