481 At a Quperion Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of hundred PRESENT-HON. miles Topengin failyn Connecticut, and on revents the 4 forg it, Tuesdoy of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight the it Remembered, That on the 16th march day of in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and tenants form Patrick Rs by of North Ceaman in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Patrick riley then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him thansachusette before The Suferior Count for Birkihise Cec and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actito establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the aets heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows Birkihise himit ss. Superior Cometines Tem1871 the it Remembered, That on the 20th day of Juliy taking Court, within A. and D. 18.7 for said , before County, the having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, patnek Miles of shefrice man in said County, who was born in Counts they reland aged about years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Grown of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, fund W Taft Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. Hurry W. Taft Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Patness Riley has resided within the United States five years at least, ,tanal svil and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Hew And the said Patrick Rilen having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Dictoria Quner of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that the levid Patrick Kiley be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES. sill 10
