483 At a Chukino Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 4th Tuesday of hundred and geventyfour January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight PRESENT-HON Miles I Grangin gardye the it Remembered, That on the 16th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four michael Colour of omaton in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Michael lea can then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before this Count and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Aetto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, County OF Littnfield } ss. the it Remembered, That on the 285 day of march A. D. 1853, before the biss Luferio Court, within and for said County, - Junit ham having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, michael learner of County, Johhnn who was born in Gower les he land in said aged about 25 years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poteil- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Fredenck Beeman Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. 10 bas freedness I Beenan Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Michael oon lew has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as à man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Michhael Corlon having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renonnce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that tht found michael borlan be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES. adi 10
