484 Ata Animor Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on hundred and revents the H our Tuesday Jonning of in the year of our Lord one thousand eight transmitted PRESENT-HON. miles Through Prince the it Remembered, That on the 16th day, of March mmil ii the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and revents four George fammand of Gohen in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And theisaid Gow hammond then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before This bount and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Aetto establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, ss. COUNTY OF the it That on the 2/4 day of dus term A. D. 1830, before the tubin Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, Groupe. remmed of Green in said County, who was born in Cone land aged about 22 (years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Queen of the Ugited Kingdompof Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. entr To the brind Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Group Hammord has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said hus Hemard having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to liverin Glucen of the United Kingdom of that Ceal Hammond Great Britain, and Irelandgof whom be was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
