    "ocrText": "484\nAta Animor Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the of Litchfield, in the State of\nConnecticut, on\nhundred\nand revents the H our Tuesday Jonning of in the year of our Lord one thousand\neight\ntransmitted\nPRESENT-HON. miles Through Prince\nthe it Remembered, That on the 16th day, of March mmil ii the\nyear of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and revents four George fammand\nof Gohen\nin said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person,\nappeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and\na Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And theisaid\nGow hammond then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention\nmade by him before This bount\nand required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled \"An Aetto\nestablish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject.\"\nApproved 14th of April, 1802, as follows:\nSTATE OF CONNECTICUT,\nss.\nCOUNTY OF\nthe it That on the\n2/4\nday\nof dus term\nA. D. 1830, before the\ntubin Court, within and for said County,\nhaving Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per-\nL.S.\nsonally appeared, Groupe. remmed\nof Green\nin said\nCounty, who was born in Cone land\naged about 22\n(years, and on oath did declare that\nit was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE\nUNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten-\ntate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to\nVictoria Queen\nof the Ugited Kingdompof Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where-\nof, I,\nClerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nentr To the\nbrind\nClerk.\nAnd it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Group Hammord has resided\nwithin the United States five years at least,\nand in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years\nhe has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the\nUnited States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nAnd the said hus Hemard\nhaving declared on oath, that he would support\nthe CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce\nand abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and\nparticularly to liverin Glucen\nof the United Kingdom of\nthat Ceal Hammond\nGreat Britain, and Irelandgof whom be was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court,\nbe, and he was accordingly admitted\nto become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES."
